Your date of birth
Grand Cellar Spirits sells alcohol, so we have to ask before you come in. What you type is compared against the drinking age and thrown away. Only the answer is kept, and it stays in this browser.
The threshold here is 18, the legal drinking age in Australia, where the cellar ships from. If your own country sets it higher, that age is the one that applies to you. Age is checked again before any order ships.
Buying from us
What we keep, why, and for how long.
When you order: your name, email address and delivery address, what you bought, and an order reference. When you join the list: your email address and nothing else.
We do not collect your date of birth. Age is confirmed in your browser at checkout and the answer is not retained.
We never see your card number. Stripe collects and processes it, and we are told only that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits for matching a refund.
To send you what you bought, to answer you about it afterwards, and to meet the record-keeping a licensed seller is required to meet.
Your order reference plus your email is how you look your own orders up. There is no password on this site, so neither of those is stored to let us in — they are stored to let you back in.
Stripe, to take the payment. Our supplier and the carrier, to pack and deliver the parcel — they get your name and address and nothing else. Our email provider, to send you the confirmation.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for their own marketing.
If you join the list you can leave it at any time — every message carries a link, and writing to us works just as well. We remove the address rather than flag it.
Write to hello@grandcellarspirits.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold about you and correct or delete it, except where a record has to be kept for tax or licensing. Those we keep for as long as the law requires and no longer.
