Selling to us

Consign a bottle

If you have something worth more than the shelf it is sitting on, we will tell you what it is worth and what we would sell it for.

How it works

    Tell us what you have

    What it is, where it has been, and anything you know about how it was stored. A photograph of the label and the fill level tells us more than a paragraph can.

    We value it

    We come back to you with what we think it is worth, what we would list it at, and the terms. Nothing is agreed until you have those in writing and have said yes.

  3. 3

    We record it

    Fill level, capsule condition, cellar history and chain of ownership, photographed and written down. It is the same record every lot on this site carries, and it is what a serious buyer pays for.

  4. 4

    It goes to the vault

    It goes on the shelf for its origin. You are paid when it sells. If it does not sell you have it back, and the record goes with it.

What we are looking for

  • Closed and silent distilleries
  • Pre-1980 bottlings in any category
  • Single cask and cask strength releases
  • Library and museum releases from the house itself
  • Anything with an unbroken cellar record

What we cannot take

  • Open or part bottles
  • Anything without its original closure
  • Current retail stock still on a shelf somewhere
  • Bottles you cannot say how you came by

Tell us what you have

This is an enquiry, not an agreement. Nothing is committed on either side until you have our valuation and terms in writing and have said yes to them. Photographs are worth more than description — we will ask for them when we reply.
