Celebration
A bottle sold with the piece it should be drunk from, chosen for what the glass does to the spirit rather than for how the box looks
7 sets
Why the piece is part of the gift
A shape either holds an aroma at the rim or lets it go, and a 25ml glass stops you pouring an amaro like a whisky. Every set here exists because the piece genuinely changes the drink, not because the two things looked good photographed together.
A set is limited by the piece, not the bottle. The bottles are in current production and we can get more. Several of the pieces beside them were made in the nineteenth century and cannot be replaced, so when the count runs out the set goes with it and the bottle stays on its own page.
The sets
Each is the bottle plus the piece, boxed together and about ten percent under buying them apart.

In stockThe Islay set
- Cnoc Dubh 2014
- Islay single malt, 46.0%, 700ml
- Tasting glass
- Thin crystal, 190ml, pair
A peated malt gives most of itself up at the nose, and a tulip that narrows at the rim is the only shape that holds it there. A tumbler lets it straight off.

In stockThe Japanese set
- Hakuryu 2016
- Mizunara finish, 48.0%, 700ml
- Sphere ice mould
- 50mm sphere, silicone and steel
Japanese whisky is built to take water and ice without collapsing. A single sphere melts slowly enough to open the mizunara without washing it out.

- Andong grain soju, 45.0%, 500ml
- Porcelain soju cup
- White porcelain, circa 1930, 45ml
The correct vessel for a grain soju, and the pairing this site was always going to make: a bottle distilled after the ban lifted, beside a cup made before it came in.

8 setsThe Amaro set
- Amaro Certosino 2015
- Monastic amaro, 32.0%, 700ml
- Liqueur glass
- Hand cut flutes, circa 1900, 25ml
A 25ml glass is sized for something bitter and fortified rather than for a spirit. Pour an amaro into a dram glass and you will drink twice what you meant to.

11 setsThe Genever set
- Beemster Jonge 2019
- Jonge genever, 35.0%, 1L
- Dram glass
- Plain heavy foot, circa 1840, 30ml
Genever is served cold and filled to the brim, which is why the glass wants a heavy foot and no stem to warm. This one was made for exactly that job.

5 setsThe Old Fashioned set
- Fenwick Reserve 2018
- English single malt, 46.0%, 700ml
- Old Fashioned service
- Silver plate, circa 1930, three pieces
The drink is three ingredients and a great deal of technique, so what it actually wants is not a special glass but a spoon long enough to reach the bottom, nips that keep your fingers out of it, and bitters you can dash one drop at a time.

Everything on this page is catalogued, photographed and priced, and none of it is orderable yet: it is all marked coming soon while the cellar finishes opening. Sets ship boxed with the glass packed separately and the bottle double walled, and placing an order will still take no payment: we come back with the total, the shipping and a way to pay. The tongs, cradle and Old Fashioned service that go with a set are on Accessories.
